What’s it all about?

Self driving cars have been the hot topic in recent times, with much speculation over what the world will look like when driving yourself around is a thing of the past. Some look forward to a future where driving is cheap, quick and easy, while others are sceptical about the safety and effectiveness of the technology and mourn the loss of the driving experience.
But this is only scratching the surface of what this technology could bring: just as the invention of the car fundamentally changed the way we live and how our cities look, so too do self-driving cars have the potential to alter every facet of our work and personal lives. And whether these changes are for the better or worse depends heavily on what the public demands.

What will we cover?

In this class we will look at:

  • the current state of self driving car technology and its impacts
  • potential future developments of the technology and its impact on how society might look
  • the positive and negatives of the technology for our daily lives
  • what each of us can do to ensure these changes are beneficial for all of us

Join us to explore this unexpected apocalypse and the options we have to collapse or thrive.
