What’s it all about ?
Do you want to learn more about Mexican culture? These hearts are a traditional handicraft across Mexico and a fun way to learn more about Mexico’s art. Come and create your own Mexican metal heart.
This class is offered in collaboration with Mexican Social and Cultural Association of Victoria.
What we will cover
You will learn:
- How to design your Mexican heart,
- Embossing techniques,
- Painting and customising.
To make it easier we’ll be making the hears with aluminium trays like the ones in the photo.
Who will be teaching?
Flor Labana is from Mexico City, and since she was child she always loved bright colours and her Mexican Culture. She has enjoyed every day since arriving in Australia.
She thinks a nice way to share her culture is to teach others what she really appreciate “the Mexican handmade art”. She worked as Journalist, TV Producer Assistant, Barista and to explore and share her passion in painting, drawing and crafts she now works as an educator in childcare.
