This class is part of The Melbourne Christmas Festival and all material costs have been sponsored by City of Melbourne.

What’s it all about?

Want a quirky Christmas decor that is not a run-of-the-mill bauble or pine tree? Why not learn a little sewing while making your own faux taxidermy dear head. This playful take on taxidermy uses all sorts of craft materials to create ‘animal-free’ recreations and in this case we’ll be making a spunky reindeer’s head.

What will we cover?

In this class we will learn:

  • How to sew felt fabric
  • Blanket stitch
  • Assembly of the deer head
  • Mounting on cardstock
  • Finishing touches

Who will be teaching?

FranMIllerPezoFran is a craft queen. Teaching everything from polymer jewellery, tassel making , screen printing to building mini models.
When not trying every craft, Fran can be found sipping on gin or whisky and helping out at Melbourne Comedy Festival. You can check her on Instagram.
