What’s it all about?

The humble but exciting Indian bhuna masala is rich and versatile. It is a paste made of onion, tomato and just two spices and it forms the base for a huge number of dishes from across India.

We’re going to learn how to make bhuna masala and then use it in different dishes!

What will we cover?

In this taster class we will be learning:

  • How to make a basic bhuna masala.
  • About Indian spices and pantry basics.
  • How to decode common descriptions in authentic online recipes.
  • How to use the paste to make three completely different dishes: palak paneer (spinach and cottage cheese), black-eyed peas dahl, scrambled tofu! They are veggie friendly and can be made vegan or meaty at home.

Who will be teaching?

Sheetal is a content-writer and food enthusiast. She loves entertaining family and friends over home cooked meals. It is their repeated requests and encouragement that made her decide to share her cooking secrets. She specialises in everyday Indian food. With this class, she wants to demonstrate how 1 hour is enough time to churn out three amazing, authentic, healthy Indian dishes.
