What’s it all about?

Have you ever walked past a street performer and thought ‘damn, I wish I could do that’?

Contact juggling is a form of object manipulation that focuses on the movement of objects, such as balls, in contact with the body. Although often used in conjunction with “toss juggling”, it differs in that it involves the rolling of one or more objects without releasing them into the air. Sounds cool right?

What will we cover?

We will learn the basics of contact juggling with one ball (or to start with – one orange!): how to roll it on your hands, then on your arms, how and where you can balance it and what kind of movement can be added to it so it looks even cooler! We will then finish with a few tricks that you can practice at home.

Who will be teaching?

Anso started juggling in Paris in 1998. Since then, she has been juggling her way around the world and settled down in Melbourne 4 years ago to become a French teacher. She still performs and teaches juggling mainly at the Women’s Circus in Footscray.
