Do you like writing for fun but never find the time? Want to get started, or re-started, on that manuscript you’ve always wanted to finish and publish? Start with this workshop. We’ll hit pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) during three different timed exercises with prompts. We’ll talk craft and characters, the role of conflict and transformation and sustaining a creative practice.
The goal of this class is for you to leave with words on the page and key next steps to keep you going.
During this interactive class there will be chances to ask questions and discuss points as a group, if you want to.
What will we cover?
We’ll sit and write together to three writing prompts, after talking about what you’d like to get from the class. After each timed prompted we’ll reflect and refocus and go again: simply sitting down and getting the words down, even if they’re rough, is the best way to outrun resistance to writing. So is practice. That’s what we’ll be doing in this class.
This class provides as much helps as you’d like. These classes attract a supportive, calm group of people to write with and opportunities to write whatever you want to write.
