What’s it all about?
Do you know some crochet stitches and want to practice and learn some more? Let’s make poppies for ANZAC day together! We’ll learn how to read patterns, triple crochets and we’ll end up with a cute poppy to commemorate this day from our homes.
What will we cover?
You’ll have to know basic crochet to join this class: slip stitch and single crochet stitch. Then we’ll go through everything else needed for the poppy pattern:
- Crocheting round projects including magic circle.
- Triple crochet
- Increasing
- Finishing our poppies.
What will you need?
- A crochet hook
- Red and black yarn of any kind (again 8ply is good but any one at home will do including T-shirt yarn like the photo)
Who will be teaching?
Maria Yebra has crafted many weird and wonderful things since getting hooked on crochet, and she shows no signs of stopping! In addition to crochet and crafting, she also has a passion for cooking and baking, light painting, Spanish shoes and running Laneway Learning.
