A nicho box, or ‘nicho’, is a three-dimensional or recessed display box, used as a portable shrine to an important figure or loved one. Nichos are popular all around Latin America and specially in Mexico and Dia de los Muertos.

You can actually do nichos for anything: loved ones, celebrities, your love for plants? tropical nicho… your cat is the king? Cat shrine coming up… Or you could embrace the spooky season and create your own haunted house, black cat wonderland, or scene from a horror? Shower scene from Psycho anyone??

For this diorama/ nicho class we will have lots of spooky, Halloween, creepy decor and all things black and shinny. Join us and create your own dreamscape in miniature. We’ll learn how to transform a box into a beautiful diorama and we’ll have all the decorating items you can imagine.
