What’s it all about?

Feeling parched after a long hot day in the summer sun? Wish you had something refreshing to get stuck into when you get home?

Maybe you should be making your very own refreshing cordials and ginger beer!

Seasonal fruits and herbs have long been recognised for their flavours and health-giving benefits. In this workshop you’ll learn to make homemade lemonade, ginger beer and other tasty drinks of your own to take home which are great for parties, gifts or for the pantry.

What will we cover?

The class will involve:

  • Tastings of four different cordials and some delicious homemade ginger beer!
  • Making two different types of cordials to take home (hence the two bottles needed).
  • Everyone will also receive their own ginger beer starter kit.

If you could please bring along 1 clean jar and 2 clean 1.24 L soft drink bottles to store your ginger beer and cordials in order to take them home with you.

Who will be teaching?

Cate Lawrence Cate Lawrence is from Green Renters, a small not for profit charity educating people on how to make their rental homes more sustainable.

When not making lotions and potions, Cate enjoys learning to ride a bike, reading crime fiction and playing with the cat.
