What’s it all about?

Explore the world of water colour pencils (and traditional watercolours too), Marloes will guide you through the steps and methods of applying and manipulating these mediums, exploring and explaining tricks and tips to get awesome realistic (and sometimes not so realistic) effects. This is hands on session that will guide you through various techniques, learning about creating depth, light and dimension, it’s fun and a great way to start your journey in to watercolour as a medium.

What will we cover?

  • Introduction and overview of the various watercolour mediums and their properties
  • Application methods – wet on wet, wet on dry etc
  • Appropriate papers and brushes
  • Touching on layering, glazes and colour correction

 

Who will be teaching?

Marloes  Bakker-Marsden is a self taught artist who has been exploring the world of art since childhood, she now teaches a variety of mediums at community centres, retirement communities and other locations, including in her own studio space, sharing her skills and passions with others in a light hearted and fun way that makes the experience totally enjoyable and rewarding for everyone involved.
