What’s it all about?
Bandhani is a tie and dye technique practiced in Rajasthan and Gujrat states of India. This technique uses seeds such as mustard seed or lentils to create very fine and intricate patterns. It’s a very laborious and intricate form of tie dye which looks beautiful when the tying is opened up to reveal the crinkled fabric pattern.
In this workshop we will tie and dye a fabric piece using this technique. You can then take it home to dry and reveal the pattern the next day.

Who will be teaching?
Manjari (she/her) is a trained Fashion Designer with vast experience in Indian textiles and embroideries. After working in the fashion industry for over a decade, she has been running her own handmade children’s clothing label, Bubble For Poppet, for the past eight years.
