With a series of writing exercises, you’ll be encouraged to tap into your creativity and unleash your ideas.
What will we cover?
In this class we will focus on a number of varied, timed writing exercises that are designed to explore your creativity and prompt different ways of writing. These exercises can be done with a specific creative project in mind, or just for fun!
There’ll also be time for discussion and reflection about the exercises and how to apply them beyond the class.

Who will be teaching?
James McKenzie Watson (he/him) writes fiction with a focus on health and rural Australia. His novel Denizen won the 2021 Penguin Literary Prize and was shortlisted in the 2023 Ned Kelly Awards. He also co-hosts the writing and health podcast James and Ashley Stay at Home.
