Come and make your own engraved silver ring!

In this class you will learn the technique of “Lost wax casting”. This involves taking a wax cast, resizing it to fit you perfectly and then engraving patterns and words to create your own, unique sterling silver jewellery.

You can make a delicate, fine silver ring or a thick chunky one.

Engrave a message for your best gal pal, lover or a gift for yourself!

This is 100% beginner class and your beautiful teacher Qing will be with you every step of the way to help you make the ring of your dreams.

What will we cover?

Within this workshop you will learn:

  • What is lost wax casting
  • How to use the tools and waxes
  • How to engrave words
  • The dos and don’ts of casting
  • How to buff and shine your ring
  • The basic fundamentals of how to make a wearable piece of jewellery.

Feel free to come with some inspiration images of styles of rings you like or an idea of what you would like to engrave!

However, we will also show you ring styles within the class to give you some inspo.

Important Info

This is a two-week class.

You will come back at the same time the following week to complete your ring.

The price of silver is NOT included, because it will vary depending on the size of the jewellery (and the number of items) you make.

Silver costs are based on the size and weight of the finished item and can range between a few dollars to $100 – this will be explained in the class and you will have full control over this cost in class.
