This is a two-week class taking place at 7:45pm on Monday Oct 17th and Monday Oct 24th (Class fee covers both classes).

Come and make your own silver ring with Qing over two classes.

In the first week you will learn the technique of “Lost wax casting”. This involves taking a wax cast, resizing it to fit you perfectly and then shaping the wax into your desired shape and design. You can make a delicate, fine silver ring or a thick chunky one. Engrave a message for your best gal pal, lover or a gift for yourself!

In the week between classes your teacher will take your wax designs to be cast into a unique piece of sterling silver jewellery.

Then in the second session you will refine and polish your silver ring.

This is 100% beginner class and your beautiful teacher Qing will be with you every step of the way to help you make the ring of your dreams.

What will we cover?

Within this workshop you will learn:

  • What is lost wax casting
  • How to use the tools and waxes
  • How to engrave words
  • The dos and don’ts of casting
  • How to buff and shine your ring
  • The basic fundamentals of how to make a wearable piece of jewellery.

Feel free to come with some inspiration images of styles of rings you like or an idea of what you would like to engrave!

However, we will also show you ring styles within the class to give you some inspo.
