Release, soften and mobilise around your hips to create easy, graceful movement and enhance your flexibility and comfort. Modern living, with its limited movement habits, sitting in chairs and cultural attitudes can develop restriction and unconscious holding around the hips.

Using the ingenious Feldenkrais system of movement exercises, Ralph will guide you through a series of gentle and safe moves designed to comfortably develop opening and improved flexibility around your hips.

Feldenkrais is a clever exercise system using gentle movement and mindfulness. You learn to release tightness and unconscious restriction and create natural, graceful and effective actions.

What will we cover?

In this class Ralph will start with a review of the anatomy of the hips, pelvis, legs and spine. He will then lead you through an intriguing, playful and pleasurable sequence of coordinated movements of the legs, pelvis, spine and whole body.

The movements are based on one of the lessons in his book, The 14 Day Pelvis Program.

The movements are done sitting and lying on the floor (or any other firm, comfortable surface). The class is suitable for adults of all ages, all levels of fitness/unfitness, all levels of flexibility/inflexibility (as long as you can get down on the floor and up again).
