What’s it all about?
Take a midday Brain Break! Taking a creative break in the middle of your work day will lift your spirits and re-invigorate your focus and concentration – it’s a bit like a computer refresh but for your mind!
Pom poms with a modern twist! From the classic pom pom’s to fruity quirky accessories, learning how to create the humble pom pom will make you smile, the process is simple, enjoyable and very relaxing!
After this class, in no time at all you’ll be whipping up all the pom poms you’ll ever need and loving it!
What will we cover?
We’ll start with the absolute basics, like how to make a pom pom maker from cardboard. Then we’ll learn how to wrap the yarn and position the colours to make a strawberry (yes! a pom pom strawberry!)
What will you need?
You will need:
- Sharp scissors
- Cardboard – an old cereal box is perfect
- Two circles to trace around – the smaller should be a third the size of the larger one
- Pencil
- Sticky tape or blu tack
- Yarn – for a strawberry, you will need 8ply red, white, brown and green yarn, but be creative – any yarn colour or weight will do. Purple strawberries anyone?
Who will be teaching?
Samantha has been a life long crafter always has one (or a million) projects on the go. Her approach to craft is that it should be relaxing and fun.
Samantha has gotten completely wrapped up (see what we did there) in pom pom making and had made countless pom pom projects for every corner of the house
