What’s it all about?
Let’s sew a bucket hat! Not quite the faded terry-towelling bucket hat of your grandpa in the garden, but a durable and reversible design using the never-say-die fabric – denim. Denim is a wonderful fabric and it wears and ages so well. Create some fringing, or colour contrast. As well as creating a fun fabric accessory, you’ll be upcycling fabrics and keeping old garments out of landfill.
Come and learn some straightforward sewing techniques and follow along to a pattern to make your own reversible bucket hat.
All fabrics used in this class are reclaimed, repurposed and reused and provided for you. All equipment provided.
This class is suitable for sewing beginners.
What will we cover?
In this hands on class we will cover basic sewing stitches, following a template, and provide you with the materials and supportive instruction to create your own reversible bucket hat.
