Surely we’re in the age of the Doggo! While dogs and humans have been living and working together for thousands of years, dog companionship is so prevalent these days. Dog parks are bustling, and renters now have more protections around having pets.

Our relationships with dogs can be hugely beneficial to the wellbeing of both species. But it can also be a source of stress, frustration and misunderstanding as we struggle to understand our dog’s behaviours, and how they process sensory information.

Just because dogs are a familiar part of our lives, it doesn’t mean we inherently understand them. So whether your new to being a dog parent or have been with hounds your whole life, come and join Harriet and examine the myths and misconceptions (and tips!) around dog behaviour so to understand your pooch better.

Come and explore the fascinating world of scents, tail wags, woofs and play to see things from a canine point of view.

What will we cover?

During this workshop you will:

  • Learn about the history and changing role of dogs in our world
  • Discover how dogs communicate using their senses and body language
  • Gain tips about how you can interact with dogs and resolve behaviour problems using modern and scientifically supported methods
  • Understand how to keep dogs and humans safe by observing key canine signals
