What will we cover?
During this workshop, Fakhira and Kelly will demonstrate the steps on how to prepare two simple yet tasty Malaysian dishes which are Kari Ayam (chicken curry), and ABC soup. This recipe mixes curry and South East Asian flavours like coconut milk and star aniseed to create a delicious combination.
Chicken curry is a well-known delicacy among Malays and Indians. The dish is commonly made with mutton and dhal curry dishes. Since the cow is considered sacred amongst India’s Hindu population, it is common to see more vegetable or fish-based curry dishes.
The ABC soup is a nourishing Malaysian soup made from hearty ingredients that are commonly enjoyed by families. This soup is very versatile and can be enjoyed at any time. Its warming, comforting nature, and nutritious ingredients make it perfect when you are craving something soothing and wholesome.
Some encouragement words from Kelly: “Don’t worry if it’s your first time cooking—we’ve made it super easy, and we will be here to guide you every step of the way. It’s all about making this experience fun and memorable for you. Plus, I’m a huge extrovert, so you’ll definitely recognize me when we meet. Can’t wait to cook with you and make some delicious memories together! See you there!”
