What’s it all about?
Zardozi is the most ornate embroidery from the Mughal era in India. Traditionally this embroidery was done using pure gold and silver threads along with real gemstones. The garments weighed a lot and were worn only by royals.
In this workshop you will create a sample using various metallic embroidery materials. You will explore some techniques that are used by European couture house even today

Who will be teaching?

Manjari (she/her) is a trained Fashion Designer with vast experience in Indian textiles and embroideries. After working in the fashion industry for over a decade, she has been running her own handmade children’s clothing label, Bubble For Poppet, for the past eight years.
