Pick up a new craft, and give an old project a second chance all while supporting Laneway Learning.

Coming to Laneway Learning for years and have a cupboards full of unfinished projects and materials? Tried macrame or linocut and it really wasn’t for you? Those candle-making supplies wilting in the garage?

You need to join us for our first ever project swap and craft materials destash!

In this fundraising special event you will be able to:

  • Exchange projects and materials for others. Choose from heaps of free projects!
  • Donate unwanted projects
  • Buy cheaply priced craft materials
  • Take away samples, art, jewellery and more from past classes
  • Get help if you want to keep going but are stuck (including pattern reading and crochet problem solving)
  • Buy some very funky merch (upcycled, original and certainly NOT something that will end up in landfill)
  • More surprises!

What sort of crafts, projects can I donate?

  • Anything and Everything! Very much in the philosophy of Laneway Learning.
  • Any used or new craft material: fabric, yarn, tools, paint, watercolours, rope, plants, markers
  • Up-cycled materials with a project in mind (for example here are these 10 hangers and this rope and stones for a future mobile I never got to do… as opposed to here is a stick! could be useful for something…)
  • Half done, not started, nearly completed craft projects of any kind. It doesn’t matter if you learnt at a Laneway Learning class or not.
  •  Email us if you have doubts or questions, the funkiest projects tend to be the most memorable ones.
