Our venue, Laneway Learning Central, is located at Level 3, Room 14-15, 37 Swanston St (Nicholas Building) in Melbourne CBD.
It fits up to 30 people sat in a workshop set-up (chairs and tables) or up to 40 in a talk set-up (without tables). For dancing or movement classes, up to 20 people work best.
Regarding food, we are a BYO venue so you can bring your own drinks and nibbles for the event.
Although we can create a private event out of most of our classes we have compiled some of the most popular ideas below.
Our venue can also be rented for extra hours at a rate of $35 per hour + GST. We also have office Christmas party ideas and Bucks Day classes if you want more inspiration.

Get creative and make your own earrings in our entertaining polymer clay class. You'll get to choose between a bunch of colours and bake your creations so you can wear them on your night out. You'll make one pair of marbled studs and one of drop earrings ($43 premium option including beads, brooches, pendants).

Make an eco-friendly, natural perfume while designing your own signature scent! Whether you’re a floral fan, or citrus enthusiast – or perhaps earthy and spicy! – you’ll certainly find your fragrance amongst Lily’s array or essential oils. Includes roll on perfume bottle to take home.

Get ready to spice up your hens' event with our Burlesque dance class (suitable for all levels of fitness and ability)! Turn up in stilettos and learn the shimmy shake and other fun, sexy moves.

Make your own fresh floral crown and learn basic floristry techniques with Robyn! We will have a variety of foliage and premium flowers in a lovely colour scheme and leave the class with a gorgeous crown to keep on partying.

Take your baking to the next level by learning the basics of fondant (sugar paste) decoration via well... some very naughty decorations! In this class, every hen will get a cupcake to decorate (and eat!) with fondant and we'll learn how to make a cute or naughty topper to go on top.

From Starry Flinders in Van Gogh style to Picasso portraits, skylines or pet portraits. Learn how to create with acrylic paint and go home with your own painted canvas.
Cost: $49 per person
From faux flower crowns to lovely halos, art deco style headdresses or just wacky, fun party hats. Come and make your own custom headpieces and wear them on your hen night. (Please note this is not millinery, more party hat style).

Learn how to use watercolour paints and choose one topic of your liking: brush lettering, botanical drawings, galaxies and constellations, sunsets, native wreaths and more

Learn the basics of macrame while making a beautiful plant hanger to take home with you! You can choose to make it out of up-cycled materials (think t-shirt yarn) and be more environment friendly or use the traditional rope to have that timeless look.
