Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to the most common questions we get! If the answer to your question isn’t here, you can also take a look at our Terms and Conditions and ‘Insider Tips‘. If you would like to get in contact with us, send an email to melbourne@lanewaylearning.com.

Tickets

As a charity prioritising affordable education, we pride ourselves on having super accessible prices. To enable us to keep our prices low, we cannot provide refunds. If you can no longer attend a workshop – feel free to pass your ticket to a mate or family member. They will just need to show their ticket upon entry.

Don’t panic! Just email us at admin@lanewaylearning.com as soon as you notice and we can refund one of the spaces. There is no need to lodge a dispute through PayPal or your bank (it will take longer!).

Please get in touch at least 48 hours before the class.

Yes we do. You can purchase a gift voucher through our website.

For gift cards purchased via Laneway Learning’s Humanitix digital gift card page enter the gift code as per below during checkout:

If you have a PDF/paper gift card similar to LL7777 please email our team with your voucher or details.  Note: we need up to 2 business days to process your request so please choose a class at least 2 days in the future!

If a class you want to attend has sold out , email us for a spot on the waiting list and we will let you know.

We keep a tally of the number of requests we receive for classes to be run again and will try to repeat any one that is particularly popular. So, get your vote in and keep an eye on the website! We also use the waiting list as a way to monitor popularity so it’s a good idea to sign up if you’re keen.

For online classes we will only refund if there was a technical difficulty on our side. Please understand we won’t be able to refund for issues with your connectivity, forgetting to attend, spam filters or others delaying or not allowing our emails and other circumstances out of our control. Thank you for your understanding.

Classes

When you attend a Laneway Learning class we’ll have your name on the door so there’s no need to have a ticket or print off your confirmation email. Saving trees and time!
Our classes start at the advertised time so please aim to arrive a few minutes beforehand so you can be ready to begin.

However, some of our venues open especially for us in the evening so if you turn up too early you may find yourself standing out in the laneway! A good guide is to arrive no more than 15 minutes before the start of your class.
Of course! We like to take photographs of our classes and do use some of the shots to promote Laneway Learning, but we would never use an image if it included someone who was camera shy. So, although we never link any names to the photos, please let us know when you arrive if you would rather not appear in these at all.
Our accessibility varies between venues and is detailed on our Where Are We? and Venue Information pages. If you have any concerns or require further information send us an email at melbourne@lanewaylearning.com and we can chat about it.

Laneway Learning classes are aimed at adults and are a great way to unwind and have a bit of time off!

However, people of all ages are welcome to attend. We recommend sending Laneway Learning an email to confirm the class is suitable for people under 18.

We also ask that everyone under 18 is accompanied by an adult. Both children and adults are required to have their own individual ticket.

If you have any questions or concerns just drop us a line and we will be happy to help.

We are pleased to offer a selection of private packages. Please get in touch with us by emailing melbourne@lanewaylearning.com and let us know what you are looking for.

Yes we do, usually at our venues depending on storage space.

If you left something behind after a class and it isn’t at the venue, drop us an email at melbourne@lanewaylearning.com with a description of the item and which class you were at when you lost it. We’ll let you know if we found it and where you can pick it up from.

We look after unclaimed property for one month.
