What’s it all about?
Taking a creative break will lift your spirits and re-invigorate your focus and concentration – it’s a bit like a computer refresh but for your mind!
So join us as we let out our inner child and play with paints – think of it like finger painting for adults – SO much fun! This session is about play, colour and exploration and is totally fun (and maybe even a little messy) introducing string painting!
What will we cover?
- Overview of various paints and their properties and different ways of using them
- Exploring unusual application methods and tools eg string!
What will you need?
- Paint – any liquid form water-based paint eg; watercolour, acrylic, flow paint, even house paint!
- Paper – ideally 200gsm
- String – I like embroidery cotton myself but wool, cord or anything that will absorb water will do
- A couple of Brushes – whatever you have on hand to mix the paint
- Containers 2-3x – something small that can hold a small quantity of fairly fluid paint
- Table to work on & newspaper or cloth to protect it.
- Optional: apron and latex gloves?
