What’s it all about?

Chibi food (cute food with faces) is the super cute craze of adorable faces on food! Chibi comes from the Japanese slang for a short or small person… Picture your favourite anime expressions on a cupcake!

We are going to turn chibi food into polymer clay jewellery. Those cute mini cake fridge magnets, earring and trinkets are all made with this awesome art medium.

We are going to learn the basics of working with polymer clay to create chibi food fit for Etsy.

What we will cover?

In this class you will learn how to work with polymer clay, including how to condition, marble, shape and cure your clay.

We’ll go through step by step instructions to create chibi food masterpieces and we’ll then learn how to place your mini masterpiece onto earring backings or necklace pendants, ready to wear as soon as you leave your class!

Who will be teaching?

The Indignant Bunny is the creation of part-time artist and full-time rabbit enthusiast, Kathryn Spring. Working exclusively from her studio in the picturesque Williamstown, The Indignant Bunny is all about breathing life into clay through sculpture and jewellery. Being surrounded by the sights and sounds of this gorgeous coastal town, all of Kathryn’s pieces reflect a shard of inspiration, whether it be vivid colours, mythical whimsy or the earthy, organic shapes of stones and rocks.

After finding success with her range of FIMO jewellery, Kathryn has now added teaching to her range of artistic talents. Offering a variety of workshops and private tuition, she shares her knowledge of polymer clay jewellery creation with those who are feeling the need to scratch their creative itch.
