What’s it all about?

From blankets, to clothing, to entire life-like coral reefs, crochet can be used to make anything you like from a humble ball of yarn and a hook. Crochet is back in a big way so come and join us as we unlock the magic of the Granny Square and learn that there is so much more to crochet than doilies!

What will we cover?

In this class we will learn how to handle the hook and yarn before moving on to the three basic stitches of crochet: chain, slip and treble stitches. These can be used as the basis of unlimited design ideas and we will be looking at, and learning the numerous ways to utilise this versatile little craft for furnishings, clothing, jewellery or accessories. Your spare time need never be empty again!

Who will be teaching?

Karen Cramer taught herself to crochet as a young teenager and still believes that the world would be a better place if everyone could learn this happy, simple skill! She spends most of her spare time with a hook in hand and yarn at the ready.
