What’s it all about?

Crochet evokes a sense of history. Many of us have seen crocheted blankets at our Grandparents’ houses, and been enthralled with the skill required. It can be used to make whatever your mind can come up with, and this class will get you on the road to crochet!

What will we cover?

In this crochet class we will learn the very basics of crochet focusing on how to hold the hook, which yarn and hook to use for projects, chain stitch and single crochet. With some practice you will be “hooked” on crochet and able to work on larger projects!

Who will be teaching?

Angela Watters is an educator, learner and artist. She has been using crochet for many years, and incorporates it into her classes. Learning to crochet in her early teenage years, she brings an exuberance for the medium in all its forms. When not crocheting, Angela enjoys walks, teaching high school students the value of art and enjoying the many of the cuisines Melbourne has to offer.
