What’s it all about?

Do you have a burning, insatiable desire to make stuff, but you’re just not sure of your own abilities and choices? With all this pent up creative energy where do you start?

What will we cover?

Using potent and directional exercises, and without sounding too much like a Tony Robbins infomercial, this interactive class combined with a few simple activities (and some examples from well known artists and creators to help you along) is designed to start you on the ‘thousand foot journey’. It’s personal, and you don’t have to answer anything out-loud in class, but it will make you think and question, and then question again, in a fun, relaxed and non-judgmental environment.

Who will be teaching?

Twenty years ago, Jackie Case pondered this very conundrum: ‘I wanna make stuff, but I haven’t found my inner voice’. She had completed a first year certificate in Art and Design, a BA in Graphic Design (focusing on Advertising and Art Direction), and a certificate in Interactive Multimedia. She’d travelled the world, visiting as many Art Galleries and Museums she could afford.

Fast forward twenty years and Case has gone on to have countless exhibitions including solo shows in Melbourne, Sydney, London and New York, and is represented by The Rebecca Hossack Gallery London/ New York. She has won numerous awards, including a huge novelty cheque(!), and has found a direction in her work that encumbers both the practical, emotional, and personal journey of her practice as an artist.
