Fermented foods have been proven to be very beneficial for your gut and general wellbeing but why? how to get started? and which ones would suit you best? Join us in this demo class to learn the fundamentals of wild fermentation. In a nutshell, wild fermentation is a way to “save the seasons” and with the right environment and ingredients just let time do its thing.
What will we cover?
This kind of fermentation and preservation has been around forever but a lot of people find it overwhelming or intimidating and are scared they will do it wrong or make themselves (or their loved ones) unwell. This class will leave you armed with all the information you need to feel confident you can try your hand at fermentation at home. Recipes include
- Kimchi
- Kombucha
- Coconut Yoghurt
- Preserved lemons
- Dill pickles
We’ll cover lots of tips and tricks to “getting it right” and discuss the importance of adding these kinds of foods to our diets to boost our gut diversity and overall wellbeing.
Who will be teaching it?
Briony Kean is a Gut Health Coach who practices a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that she looks at how all areas of your life are connected. Fundamentally we’re all individuals, and that’s the approach she takes.
