What’s it all about?
Paper jewellery is easy to make, good for up-cycling and can be really gorgeous! It’s also a perfect craft to do in these times, you just need some lovely paper or magazine page and you are good to go. In this class, we will learn how to fold modular origami and make a our own paper bangle ready to wear.
What will we cover?
We’ll be learning:
- Paper considerations, materials and inspiration
- How to fold the separate paper pieces to make the bangle
- How to assemble it and work it for a bangle or necklace
- Finishing touches such as varnishes
What will you need?
- Coloured paper or newspaper or magazines – you can also make some lines or ink blotches on white paper
- Scissors
- Ruler or measuring tape
Who will be teaching?
Maria Yebra has crafted many cute and weird things in her life from fox hoodies to bias tape planters, wax skulls and cat rings. She loves to upcycle and has an extensive collection of loved “crap” she plans to turn into something useful one day.
In addition to crafting, she also has a passion for cooking and baking, light painting, Spanish shoes and running Laneway Learning.
