What’s it all about?

The Persian Empire and its diverse culture have inspired many stories, sagas, poems and love songs. A big part of Persian culture is the food; the variety of yummy, hearty and elaborate mains, deserts and goodies that you drool over uncontrollably.

What will we cover?

In this class we are inviting you to a Persian feast to taste a range of yummy treats and sides, get familiar with Persian costumes and traditions and get a chance to make some Persian dips yourself.

We want you to have some skills to be the next Persian host/hostess to your guests. So, come and learn a bit about the culture of Persian hosting and the essential dos and don’ts.

This class will be a combination of tasting, making and discussing. We’ll start by welcoming everyone with some Persian pleasantries and having Persian tea and doing “Taarof”, which is constantly asking the guests to help themselves with the food and fruit provided, Persian style. We’ll then continue by making some Persian mezza.

If you want to know all about these, come and join us. This session of Persian feast is all about vegetarian foods.
