This introduction to screen printing is a hands-on workshop where we will get our hands dirty making original, fun tote bags – perfect to take to the market!

This class will cover techniques needed to start you on your way to screen printing success and how to bring your ideas to life with easy techniques.

At the end of the class you will have new skills and a fancy new tote!

This event will be half social chats with a bunch of like
minded queer people and half fun, educational and interactive workshop.

All workshops are taught by queers, for queers.

What will we cover?

In this fun, hands on workshop you will learn:

  • Basic screen printing techniques
  • Everyday materials
  • How to create your own printed tote bag
  • How you can can apply your new skills to create your own bags, t-shirts, and more!

You will then take home your one of a kind tote bag!

Who will be teaching?

Maddy (she/her) is a crafty hobbyist based in Narrm who has a big
heart for colour, expression and over-the-top jewellery. She enjoys
working with all sorts of materials and mediums, and repurposing
everyday items into expressions of art and fashion. As a musician, these
wonky and not-so-wonky creations often find their way onto stages
around Melbourne.

Maddy also enjoys gardening, and carving and printing lino cuts, paper collage, and combining the two.
