Experience the joy of group singing. Whether you believe you can sing or not, this workshop will give you the space to play, have fun and free your voice through collective song.
What will we cover?
In this workshop you will:

- Get in touch with your body and voice
- Experience the vibrations of your voice meeting with others
- Play with embodied rhythm
- Have fun
It will be about human connection though song and stems from performance research into oral tradition, polyphonic music and a care for disappearing cultural traditions.
Who will be teaching?
Janie Gibson is an actor, theatre maker and teaching artist, recently relocated to Melbourne after spending the last 6 years overseas training and working with two world renown theatre companies ‘Song of the Goat’ in Poland and ‘Shakespeare and Company’ in the U.S.A. Her work focuses on the human voice as a source of connection through song, language and story. She is currently developing a new work to be presented at the 2016 Next Wave Festival in Melbourne.
