What’s it all about?

Learn to grow nutritionally dense food in DAYS! With no garden space, no green thumb, no tools, no whopping outlay and pretty much no clue. You can cut the cost of your grocery bills, become more self-sufficient and healthy and much more.

What will we cover?

Did you know that as little as one tablespoon of certain seeds can yield a cup or more of fresh, crunchy, versatile food that packs more health punch than a week in an organic Balinese retreat?

You’ll learn how to:

  • Save cash
  • Avoid chemicals and toxins on your food

  • Eat more nutritionally dense foods
  • Generally be healthier and more self-sufficient

Learn everything from set up (buy or make your own), where to buy seeds, the growth cycle, basic nutrition and delicious meal ideas. Plus, we’ll talk about which seeds are easier, which seeds yield more, and a there will be a sprouting and microgreens for Dummies type step-by-step guide.

There will be established sprout jars, demonstrations and tastings on the night and you can choose to purchase mason jars, certified organic seeds and re-usable sprouting lids for under $10 if you would like to get going straight away.

Who will be teaching?

ShanBy day, Shan is a qualified and registered myotherapist and personal trainer, ironing out the postural and soft tissue dysfunctions of those in ‘knead’. By night, she is The Green Genie (GG), a passionate presenter of sustainable and healthy living topics with a sassy style and penchant for dad jokes (which shall begrudgingly be kept to a minimum at most times). GG loves gardening, trail running, animals, ukulele, making stuff and The Mighty Boosh. She’s a thrifty guru on simple, stress-free strategies of buying/using/wasting less and living lightly with compassion.
