What’s it all about?
You’ve got friends coming over for dinner and then you find out that at least one of them is vegetarian, or worse, vegan. Panic! What do you do?
We’ll look at some simple substitutes and easy recipes that will satisfy your veggie friends and even make the carnivores’ mouths water.
What will we cover?
Vegetarian and vegan diets are becoming more and more common, but often they cause the chefs alarm.
Together, we’ll discuss a host of different foods that you can easily substitute into your dishes to make them veggie friendly, and the things you can add to ‘beef it up’ and keep everyone happy.
We’ll also look at some simple veggie recipes, and some more creative ones to show that it’s easy to make veg and vegan dishes that aren’t just a plate of greens.
Who will be teaching?
Lucie Bradley is a recent convert to vegetarianism for ethical (and economical!) reasons but still finds her mouth watering by a good piece of ‘roo. After playing around in the kitchen she realised that it was actually pretty easy to leave out all animal products, and it’s totally delicious too.
