Summer evenings are the perfect time to spend time outdoors. That’s why we’re teaming up with Pop Up Patch, The Little Veggie Patch Co’s city backyard, for Monday night classes under the sky!
The venue
Pop Up Patch (PUP) has transformed an unused car park at Federation Square into a community garden and event space. Anyone can go and relax or grab a bite to eat and green-fingered local residents, restaurants and businesses can become POP members. They will be tending the many veggie crates on site, turning them into mini edible gardens.
You can visit PUP on the rooftop of the Russell Court car park, on the corner of Russell Street and Flinders Street, Federation Square. Or visit PUP online at the PUP website and the PUP Facebook page.
PUP is open Wednesday-Friday from 8am-4pm and then from 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday. But on Monday evenings it’s open just for us to learn something new!
Note, Pop Up Patch is closed on public holidays and in extreme weather. Don’t forget your sunscreen!
The classes
Yep, this summer Laneway Learning will be running classes at the Pop Up Patch so that you can relax and learn whilst basking in the summer and Melbourne’s iconic skyline.
Laneway Learning will be at Pop Up Patch on Monday evenings in February and March.
Classes will run 6:15pm-7:30pm and 8:00pm-9:15pm and will be our usual mix of anything and everything, from science to crafts, and some gardening of course!
Look at our upcoming classes and sign up online. See you there!
