Following on from our survey, we are working hard to implement changes and improvements that you have requested.
One suggestion was that you would like to be able to see at a glance what style a class will take. We have now added a note to each of our class pages that describes what type of class it will be.
We are breaking it down into three easy categories: talk, demo and hands-on.
Talk
Talks might use a variety of props, techniques and ideas to get you thinking and learning. From images to handouts, props to discussions, small activities and more!
Demo
Demo classes are usually set up with all the equipment or materials at the front of the class. You’ll be learning about the topic and seeing demonstrations, live in class. You might even get up to help out. Think cooking demonstrations with tasters throughout the class and all your questions answered.
Hands-on
Hands-on classes will have you rolling up your sleeves and getting really stuck in. You might be drawing or painting, kneading bread, or even up and dancing!
We aim to make all of our classes interactive so come with a smile and be ready to learn. And don’t be shy – comments and questions are always welcome and there is no stupid question at Laneway Learning!
