What’s it all about?
Incorporating 80′s dance, 90′s hip-hop dance, booty dance, hoop-aerobics, hoop-hop, striking your tree pose with Voga, hula hooping tricks, and LOTS of hilarity, you’ll be wishing you could Werq. It. Out! all the time.
To really get in the retro mood, we encourage you to dig out your old g-tard (g-string leotard), sweat bands, wide elastic belt, leg-warmers, etc. You can wear whatever you like but we believe everything is more fun when you add fluoro and glitter. Wear supportive runners – no stilettos!
What will we cover?
This workshop is a fun, active mix of dancing and hula hooping all to the rhythm of 80′s and 90′s dance music. It includes hoop tricks, Voga (Vogue + yoga) and hoop-hop.
Who will be teaching?
Jane Fondle from Hoops, Thighs & Buttocks is all about getting physical. A big name in local gyms in Melbourne’s outer suburbs during the aerobics fad, she was known for her unique ‘thrusting’ style and consequently had a huge influence on the increase of men participating in aerobics classes. She released a box set of x-rated aerobics workout videos which created a scandal in the fitness industry. As a result gyms wouldn’t hire her anymore. Though she possesses advanced pole handling skills, Fondle failed in her career move as a stripper because she refused to remove her beloved g-tard. This worked against her when a bad g-tard incident, whilst Flashdancing, left her unable to walk for some time. Now rehabilitated, she’s taking the world by storm with Hoops, Thighs & Buttocks, doing her bit for world peace by teaching booty camp, 80’s dance, Voga and hula hoop classes, hens parties and corporate team-building workshops to anyone willing to put on a headband and some glitter nail polish and strike a pose.
