What’s it all about?

Fabric yarn is making a big splash lately from clothing and accessories to home wares, toys, art… It’s made out of cotton which makes it a great material for summer projects, while its thickness is perfect for beginners as its easier to handle and to complete patterns faster. Come to this class and learn how to crochet with this yarn by doing a cute coaster and soon you’ll be crocheting your own rugs, baskets or bags!

What will we cover?

We’ll start by talking about fabric yarn, what it is and how it’s made. Then we’ll move on to the basics of crocheting: holding the hook and tying a slip knot. Once we are confident we’ll start with learning how to chain, the first stitches in any crochet project as well as single crochet and double crochet to make our coasters.

Who will be teaching?

Maria and Maria (yes we are both named Maria!) run Hook & Hop together, selling tee-yarn from Spain as well as crochet and knitting kits. They both love to crochet and knit and are set to spread the love! You can catch up with them at Facebook or Instagram.
