What’s it all about?

Our modern lives are full of stress, but this class is full of calming ideas based on simple drawing techniques that will get your energy flowing and your creativity happening. Even if you think you can’t draw.

What will we cover?

We’ll have a look at what the act of drawing does to our brain, both neurologically and psychologically, and why it can be so good for us. We’ll then explore some practical exercises which will use drawing to help us get in touch with our inner selves, all of which can be undertaken by artists of absolutely any skill level. You’ll leave the class feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to face your evening.

Who will be teaching?

Michele Grimston is a multidisciplinary artist and arts facilitator attracted to the whimsy and tiny beauties that fill this crazy world. She’s currently studying her masters in Community Cultural Development, and her work has a strong focus on arts and wellbeing. Her art has been exhibited in Melbourne, Canberra and Canada, most recently at her solo show at Conduit Arts. Michele is adamant about having fun with her work – and making sure others do too. You can see some of her art online here.
