Wha’s it all about?

Bring along your favourite pen and this workshop will guide you past the rookie comic making mistakes, sending you home with your very own six page mini comic.

And no drawing skills required! Check out Louis Trondheim’s Mister O for inspiration.

What will we cover?

First a quick run through of examples of comics which communicate their story clearly and those that confuse the reader. Participants will then rough out a six page mini comic either using a story they already had in mind or select some creative restriction cards to shape a story on the night. Once the roughs are done, we will do final pencils and add ink.

Pencils, fineline marker pens and paper will be provided. Please bring any favourite drawing or writing utensils.

Who will be teaching?
