What’s it all about?

The path from scientific concept to technology takes many twists and turns. See a series of intriguing and stimulating demonstrations that tell the story behind developments in novel materials and fascinating technologies.

What will we cover?

Many products we use today have come from discoveries that may have occurred many years before. Sometimes a new discovery is a mere novelty until a necessity is identified. Some of the technologies and materials we’ll look at have obvious applications, others are well outside the square. With demonstrations and explanations we’ll get to touch and see materials and technologies, and discuss the world of innovation and the narratives of discovery.
