What’s it all about?

Have you ever tried Korean food? A lot of Korean dishes are not only good for your health but also delicious.

One of Korea’s favourites is kimbap (or gimbap). As a descendant of Japanese sushi, the main ingredients are steamed white rice (bap) and gim (or kim – sheets of dried laver seaweed). The rice is rolled up with other ingredients, utilising traditional Korean flavors, and is usually served with danmuji (pickled radish) or kimchi (fermented vegetables) to make a truly Korean dish.

In this class we’ll learn how to make a few different kinds of kimbap and taste all our makings at the end. Yum!

What will we cover?

At the beginning, we will take some time to understand how kimbap is made. Then, explore a few different kinds though demonstrations.

You’ll not only leave with all the know-how and special recipes for making your own kimbap at home, but also a full stomach after tasting each kimbap to understand exactly what you are aiming for.
