What’s it all about?

Korean food has unlimited variety, but it’s always delicious. A lot of the dishes are healthy too!

Among a wide range of Korean cooking, we will learn how to make Korean pancakes (buchimgae). One of Korea’s favourite types of pancake is the kimchi pancake. These are made with sliced kimchi, flour batter and sometimes other vegetables. The other favourite is a sesame leaf pancake, made with minced pork, beef and sesame.

In this ‘Cook along’ class we’ll learn how to make kimchi pancakes.

What will we cover?

This beginner’s class is a demonstration of how to cook Korean pancakes.

You’ll leave with all the know-how and special recipes for making your own Korean pancakes at home.  If you buy the ingredients you can follow along and cook yours from your own kitchen. Join us and discover the world of Korean pancakes!

Ingredients (all Korean ingredients can be found in International groceries – the pancake mix and chilli flake can me substituted)

  • Korean Pancake mix,
  • Korean tempura mix,
  • Korean chilli flake,
  • Tuna can (in spring water),
  • vegetable oil,
  • Zucchini, salt,
  • Roasted sesame oil,
  • Roasted sesame,
  • Jin Soy sauce,
  • Ra sugar,
  • water,
  • vinegar,
  • Minced garlic

Your kitchen with usual cooking equipment.

Who will be teaching?
