What’s it all about?

Join us for a journey into the world of Qi Gong, an ancient form of exercise originating in China over 5,000 years ago. Pronounced “Chee Gong”, it often conjures images of satin pyjamas and flowing dance-like movements, in this class we’ll hop, skip and jump through the past 5,000 years to circa now and uncover the new movement of Modern Qi Gong.

What will we cover?

We will touch on the origins, the traditional forms of Health Qi Gong and its philosophies, concepts and key elements, and then move on to learn a series of modern Qi Gong exercises and movements which can easily be incorporated into everyday life. Our practice will consist of slow and gentle flowing movements and a focus on alignment of the breath and visualisation. A relaxing and energising moving meditation great for both the body and mind.
