What’s it all about?

This activity invites you to a relaxed and fun drawing class, in which you can surpass your own skills and try out some basic techniques for still life and portrait drawing. No prior drawing experience is needed.

What will we cover?

We are going to learn how to:

  • Recognise the basic geometry of a complex form and how to simplify it;
  • Give dimensions to our drawings to make them look 3D;
  • Draw shadows and reflections;
  • Bring life into our drawings.

In this workshop there are no mistakes, and it doesn’t matter if you can barely draw a recognisable stick figure or if you’re a pro!

Who will be teaching?

Gyöngyvér is a graduate architect, who recently moved from Hungary to Australia. Back in her home country she was member of the Architect Club, a group of self organised architect students. Among many other professional programs they held drawing workshops for citizens during a civil urban festival called ‘Budapest 100’. Beyond her passion for architecture, she loves active recreation, like cycling, trekking and dancing.
