What’s it all about?

Want to navigate your way around a DSLR? Never heard of f-stop, shutter speed or white balance? This class is for beginners to the wonderful world of SLR photography, where you will learn about how to use your manual settings so that you can get great results with your SLR camera.

What will we cover?

We will cover aperture, shutter speed, white balance, ISO and some basic composition ideas, and consider some issues when shooting in different light conditions. We’ll provide you with opportunities to practice your skills on a range of subjects (don’t be shy! This could include you). By the end of the class you should be confident in your manual settings and never feel the need to switch back to auto.

Who will be teaching?

As a former tour leader with Photography Night Walks in Melbourne she is experienced in teaching basic camera skills as well as composition, particularly in low-light conditions.
