What’s it all about?

Have you ever been daunted by the spices in your cupboard or wanted to learn the many different ways in which they can be used? Masala Dabba is here to demystify the spices and help you embark on your culinary journey of the Indian subcontinent.

What will we cover?

We invite you to come and smell the aroma, feel the texture, and taste the spices. During the class you will begin to develop your understanding of spices, how to use them and to create complex flavours that seem so tricky to get right. You will also be able to dabble in some of the spices and see how easy it is to rustle up some yummy masala chai and snack, using your spice box.

Who will be teaching?

Slide1An ardent traveller and lover of good food, Benita knows her dishes. From Continental to Indian, she has been entertaining family and friends for more than a decade with her culinary delights, juggling corporate offices and social responsibility projects. Her love of spices also extends to alternate therapies like Ayurveda, aromatherapy, organic and natural beauty care products. Having learnt how to prepare traditional Indian home cooked food from her mum and grandmother, in her free time she shares the wonderful flavours of India with family and friends.
