What’s it all about?
Do you sometimes (or always) feel that you don’t have a creative bone in your body?
In reality, creativity is a way of thinking that is closely connected to our observations and experiences of the world around us, and this workshop will introduce some simple and fun tools which can help you tap into your creative potential.
What will we cover?
We will explore a variety of ideas from the fields of fine arts, creative writing and drama that will help you develop your creative brain muscle in whatever direction works best for you. The techniques we will be using can be easily integrated into your everyday life with just a few spare minutes a day, and you might even find them useful for work, study and play, as well as for creating your artistic masterpieces.
Who will be teaching?
Michele Grimston is a multidisciplinary artist and arts facilitator attracted to the whimsy and tiny beauties that fill this crazy world. She has also worked on many large, creative sustainability projects and has worked for several years in community environment organizations in Canberra. Michele is adamant about having fun with her work – and making sure others do too. She has recently returned to Melbourne from Canada, where she completed a five week artist residency at the Banff Centre in Alberta. You can see some of her art online here.
