Wine, we all love it, but do we know what it is that we love? The best way to find out is by wine tasting with an expert!
Do you feel nervous or confused when you walk into the bottle shop looking for something new to try? Or when the sommelier hands you the wine list and you have no idea what it is that you’re looking at? Then this is the class for you.
What will we cover?
This beginner’s wine tasting class will take you through the basics of wine.
We’ll be learning about some of the classic grape varietals we all know and love, and some of the varietals we would like to get to know. We’ll also discuss some of the wine regions, as we taste though some wines.
Plus, learn how to taste wine (properly!) and what you’re looking for so you know exactly what it is that you like.
Who will be teaching?
Rochelle is a qualified sommelier whose work has taken her around the world and to some of the best restaurants in Melbourne. Having worked at Dinner by Heston, Vue de Monde and Circa the Prince, Rochelle is well equipped with understanding the challenges guests have when looking at that wine list. And she can guide them through it to find something that they will truly enjoy. Now she is here to help you scratch the surface of what is the magnificent, extensive and fabulous wine world. Most recently, Rochelle is enjoying her new venture with Lady du Vin, which brings the sommelier to you to learn about and share wine with friends in the comfort of your own home.
